Amber Heard’s Spokesperson Alafair Hall has shared that the Aquaman actress is planning to appeal the verdict from the Depp vs. Heard defamation lawsuit and countersuit that recently concluded in Fairfax County, Virginia.
The jury found fault on both sides but ultimately fell in favor of Johnny Depp’s case awarding him $15 Million in damages, with Heard earning $2 Million in damages. Judge Azcarate later lowered the awarded amount to $10.35 Million for Depp due to a Virginia state law that caps punitive damages at $350,000.
The appeal will not be resolved in the immediate future, and it will likely be a year or longer before we see any major updates regarding the status of the appeal if it is not immediately denied.
