Amber Heard issues a statement after the verdict of Johnny Depp’s defamation trial

Amber Heard has just issued a statement after the verdict of Johnny Depp’s defamation trial in Fairfax, Virginia.

Here is her statement that was released on Twitter:

After deliberating for 14 hours across three days, the jury decided that Depp was in fact defamed by Heard and that she acted with malice bringing the six-week-long case finally to an end.

The jury has just unanimously sided in favor of Johnny Depp! Amber Heard calling Johnny Depp a sexual abuser was in fact defamation.

The jury further found Heard’s accusations in the Washington Post Op-Ed article was in fact malicious.

The jury awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. Heard was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages and no punitive damages.
