Later this year, we will get our first taste of the Star Wars Stories movies, with “Rogue One.” The next planned stand-alone Star Wars flick, which has been getting incredible buzz despite not even having begun production, is the Chris Miller and Phil Lord (21 Jump Street, The Lego Movie) directed film about a young Han Solo for 2018.
Earlier this year, a short list was released for who might be cast as the beloved Harrison Ford-originated character. It seems that someone has finally been cast as of yesterday, according to numerous sources it seems that Alden Ehrenreich is now in final negotiations to play Han, being narrowed down from a search of about 2,500 potential actors. Ehrenreich was last seen in the Cohen Brothers film “Hail, Caesar!”
It is hard to picture someone else as Harrison Ford playing Han Solo, but I am still incredibly excited to see the film and learn more about the rogue’s back story!
The film does not yet have an official title, and is set to be released May 25, 2018.
