This Halloween season have fun baking some delicious Mickey donuts with a spooky twist, a spider, ghost, pumpkin and bat! They are a great snack to have during your halloween party or just for a movie night.

You just need a few ingredients and this recipe from Disney Eats to create these donuts at home:

SPOOKY MICKEY DONUTS

INGREDIENTS:

  • Donut pan
  • 1 box cake mix
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of vegetable oil (plus more for candy melts)
  • 1 large egg
  • Large and small zip-top bags
  • Lavender, black, white, orange and yellow candy melts
  • Green licorice
  • Pretzel sticks

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Preheat oven to 350F and generously coat your donut pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together cake mix, vanilla, water, oil, and egg.
  • Transfer batter to a large zip-top bag. Snip off a small corner and fill each donut cavity about half way.
  • Bake for 1-12 minutes. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, and then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.

  • Melt each color of candy melts.
  • Dip the top of each donut into the bowl of melts. Allow the excess to drip off and place onto your wax paper.
  • Pipe 2 inch Mickey ears onto wax paper. Allow to set.
  • Cut about 1/2 inch off of the green licorice and attach to the top of the jack o’ lantern donut.

  • Break each pretzel stick in half and dip into the lavender melts. Using a little more of the melts, attach your pretzel halves into a “v” shape and lay on your wax paper to set.
  • To create the bat wings, draw the wings onto a piece of computer paper and place the drawing under your wz paper as a guide.
  • Use coordinating color of candy melts to attach the ears, wings, and legs to the donuts.
  • Use a toothpick to draw the details of each donut design with candy melts.
