Look! Up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane. It’s…Baby Yoda?!
Well, if you love astronomy and Star Wars, then you’ll appreciate this news. A Twitter user (@Chesapectan) is sharing an image of a nebula that reminds astronomers of the Mandalorian space baby. You can take a closer look at the nebula image below.
A nebula is an enormous cloud of dust and gas occupying the space between stars and acting as a nursery for new stars. It may not be as cool as naming a planet, but it is fun to hear something in outer space is named after Grogu.
Even though we can now find Baby Yoda in space, what about Galaxy’s Edge? Is ‘The Mandalorian’ coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge? Disney historian Jim Hill teases that plans are in the works to introduce several characters from Star Wars: The Mandalorian series during an episode of his podcast, Disney Dish.
Hill shared with listeners that Din Djarin (The Mandalorian), Grogu (The Child), and characters like Boba Fett and Bo Katan, could soon make character appearances at the Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu. Hill also hinted that The Razorcrest may replace Kylo Ren’s ship in the outpost.
Disney Parks has yet to confirm these rumors, but they could always use a boost from new character interactions to draw in visitors.
