The 2012 Atlanta Braves spring training season at Disney wrapped up its 15th edition on April 2. The noon Mets game concluded a month-long slate of 17 home games (and one rainout) at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The Braves faced the Mets three times, along with visits from the Yankees, world-champion Cardinals and Detroit Tigers.
On March 28, the sports complex recognized its 15th anniversary with an ESPN broadcast of Yankees-Braves at Champion Stadium. An additional eight games were broadcast from Champion Stadium, as well as visits from ESPN’s Baseball Tonight and MLB Network’s 30 Clubs in 30 Days.
Braves at Disney was once again a family affair, with visits from Disney characters, such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy, along with fireworks, the on-field experience and kids running the bases postgame.
