Construction is moving right along on Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and new aerial photos from bioreconstruct are giving us a much better look at how Pueblo Esperanza is starting to come together. From the rising Casita façade to the village carousel and central plaza, several major pieces of the new land are now easy to pick out from above.

At the back of the site, the large show building for Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto is mostly enclosed, while steel framing for Casita continues to rise alongside it. The structure now includes multiple levels and its tall central tower, making the silhouette much closer to the concept art Disney has previously shared.
Nearby, additional themed framework is being added to help conceal the attraction building behind the mountainous backdrop planned for the area.
Closer to the main village, El Carrusel de los Animalitos is also taking shape. Much of the carousel roof is now covered, with the central opening still waiting for its raised roof element. The attraction will feature hand-carved wooden animals inspired by Disney animated characters. Not far away, crews are also working on a large circular structure in the plaza that lines up with the fountain shown in concept art for Pueblo Esperanza.
The former Restaurantosaurus is being heavily reworked into a new dining location, while the former Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures will become a Tropical Americas gift shop. Across the land, new pathways, rooflines, rockwork, utilities, and village buildings are helping turn the former DinoLand U.S.A. into something completely different.
