Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course Sets Reopening Date After Major Refurbishment
Golfers will soon be able to tee it up once again at Walt Disney World, as Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is set to reopen on October 23, 2026, following a months-long refurbishment. The course has been closed since May while crews worked on a number of upgrades, and reservations are already available for tee times beginning on reopening day.

The refurbishment included renovations to the greens, with new contouring and elevations designed to improve playability. Disney also made updates to the greenside bunker and chipping area, upgraded the course’s irrigation system, added new bunker drainage systems, and enhanced several teeing grounds around the course.
Lake Buena Vista joins Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course in receiving some substantial attention in recent years. Magnolia underwent its own extensive refurbishment, including the introduction of the “Grumpy Gauntlet,” which reimagined several holes with some extra Disney character. Magnolia, Palm, and Oak Trail have remained open while work has been underway at Lake Buena Vista.
