Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Temporary Closure Announced for November
If you are planning a trip to Magic Kingdom this fall, you will want to take note of a major upcoming attraction closure! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is officially scheduled to close for refurbishment starting Monday, November 2, 2026.
According to the official refurbishment calendar on the My Disney Experience app, the temporary shutdown will also affect the attraction’s nearby merchandise locations: Tiana’s Bayou General and Critter Co-Op.
Here is what you need to know about the upcoming closure!
Beginning November 2, guests visiting Magic Kingdom will not be able to join Princess Tiana, Louis, and their musical critter friends for a trip through the bayou.

Disney has not yet released an official reopening date or timeline for the work.
While Disney hasn’t given an official reason for the shutdown, routine maintenance is standard practice for major log flume and water-based attractions. Water rides experience significant wear and tear from Florida’s humidity and continuous operational demands.
This scheduled work marks the attraction’s first major refurbishment since officially taking over the former Splash Mountain site in June 2024. In addition to regular track and flume maintenance, the downtime gives Disney Imagineers an opportunity to tune up and service the ride’s advanced Audio-Animatronics figures ahead of the busy holiday season.
