A Digital Version is Officially in the Works
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the panel was the confirmation that a digital version of Disney Lorcana is currently in development! Slated to be playable on both desktop and mobile devices, this new platform will allow players to take their decks on the go.
Elaine Chase, Head of TCGs at Ravensburger, shared the studio’s mission to reach as many Disney fans as possible. “By allowing fans to experience each Disney Lorcana TCG card wherever they are logged in, I’m positive even more Disney fans will want to jump into one of the most open communities in all of gaming,” she explained. Fans can sign up at DisneyLorcana.com/digital to be the first to know when public testing begins.

Celebrating Three Years of Magic
Disney Lorcana is coming off a massive three-year anniversary celebration. The game boasts some staggering statistics, with 13 sets released, more than 3,000 unique cards published, and a whopping 2.8 billion cards sold worldwide! The current set, Attack of the Vine!, remains in high demand among both gamers and collectors alike.

Expanding into Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line
Get ready to see much more of Disney Lorcana on your Disney vacations! Ravensburger announced that the game will be featured at more Disney events and park locations in 2027 and beyond.
Specifically, Disney Lorcana will have a presence at the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts in 2027, offering exclusive cards and gifts with purchase that cannot be found anywhere else. Additionally, the Disney Lorcana experience—including the popular Collection Quests—will expand across the Disney Cruise Line fleet starting in 2027!

New Sets, Collector Boosters, and the Illustrious Rarity
Fans were treated to a first look at Cosmic Quest, a new set arriving in Spring 2027. But the real excitement for hardcore collectors is the debut of Collector Boosters, which will launch alongside the Into the Inkdark set in Q1 2027.
These Collector Boosters will feature 12 premium foil cards and introduce a brand-new rarity tier called “Illustrious.” These cards will be exceptionally rare, with only 23 serialized copies printed for each set! To give fans a taste, Ravensburger revealed one of the six Illustrious cards for the upcoming set—Maleficent – Biding Her Time, illustrated by Kendall Hale. This specific card is a special nod to the very first Disney Lorcana card ever revealed at the D23 Expo back in 2022.
Fans can look forward to Collector Boosters debuting at Ravensburger Play Hub stores and select Disney locations.

Curator’s Collection and New Books
With the 35th anniversary of Beauty and the Beast approaching this fall, Ravensburger announced the Curator’s Collection Beauty and the Beast Edition. Releasing this October at select Disney locations, this collection features stunning new artwork for six fan-favorite characters from the film, including Gaston – Intellectual Powerhouse and Belle – Hidden Archer.
On the publishing side, a brand-new book titled Disney Lorcana TCG – A Visual Guide Through the Magical Realm was announced for 2027, promising a deep dive into the visual storytelling of the game. Fans at D23 also had the exclusive first opportunity to pick up Quest of Wonders An Illumineer’s Lorebook, a unique in-world book.

The Future of Competitive Play
The panel wrapped up with exciting news for the competitive scene. Ryan Miller, co-creator of the game, highlighted the incredible community and teased the expansion of the Disney Lorcana Challenge ’26–’27 circuit to meet massive player demand. The weekend also featured the first-ever live Disney Lorcana tournament on the D23 show floor, with 128 players competing for a spot in the North American Championship!
