Bob Iger Honored with Main Street, U.S.A. Window at Disneyland

Iger’s window can be found above the entrance to the Emporium at Disneyland Park, where he is recognized as the “Chief Architect for New Century Builders.” The tribute includes the motto “Looking forward to your tomorrow!” along with words including courageous, confidence, excellence, innovation, curiosity, and optimism, all reflecting qualities Disney says defined his leadership.
During the dedication, Iger spoke about what the honor meant to him, saying he felt a deep sense of appreciation and gratitude after having the opportunity not only to work for the company Walt Disney founded, but to lead it. He also reflected on standing in Town Square and joining the many legendary Disney figures whose names already appear on Main Street windows, calling the moment something he never could have imagined possible.
The ceremony included a fitting musical touch from the Dapper Dans, who performed “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow.” Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro also paid tribute to Iger, crediting him with helping expand Disney storytelling around the world while keeping creativity, innovation, and respect for Disney’s history at the center of his leadership.

The Main Street window tradition dates all the way back to Disneyland’s opening in 1955, when names were placed on select windows as a way to recognize the people who helped bring Walt Disney’s park to life. Over the decades, receiving one has become one of Disneyland’s most meaningful honors. Now, Iger’s name will permanently look out over Main Street as another chapter is added to Disney history.
