Scaffolding Expands Across Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The Hollywood Tower Hotel is looking a little less glamorous these days as refurbishment work continues at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Scaffolding has expanded farther across the front-right side of the attraction, making the ongoing work much more noticeable from Sunset Boulevard. What started as a smaller setup along the side of the building has now grown across the upper middle portion of the facade above the balcony walkway.
The work follows a queue refurbishment that began in May. Since then, flags have been removed near the attraction’s gift shop exit, portions of the facade have been covered with scrim, and scaffolding has steadily spread across the exterior. Disney also filed a construction permit for the attraction earlier this year.

So far, there have not been any obvious major exterior changes visible from the guest areas, and the scaffolding remains positioned away from normal guest traffic. Tower of Terror continues to operate while the work moves forward.
For now, guests heading down Sunset Boulevard can expect a slightly more “under construction” view of one of Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ most iconic landmarks.
