Disneyland Resort Celebrates 1 Billionth Guest Milestone
Disneyland Resort has officially made history by welcoming its one billionth guest! To celebrate seven decades of happiness and countless magical memories, a special ceremony was held at the entrance of Disneyland Park. Over the past 71 years, the resort has brought joy to families from every corner of the globe, firmly cementing its legacy as The Happiest Place on Earth. Reaching this monumental milestone just days before its official anniversary proves that Walt Disney’s original dream lives on, continuing to inspire the world.
A normal family trip turned into a piece of Disney history this morning when an unsuspecting guest was named the official one billionth visitor to the Disneyland Resort. Eight-year-old Andres Robles from Arizona arrived at the gates with his parents, Alejandra and Jose, expecting nothing more than a fun day celebrating his eighth birthday. Instead, the family was shocked to find out they were selected as the honorary one billionth guests to ever step foot inside Disneyland and Disney California Adventure!
The family was invited to participate in a brief ceremony with the Disney Ambassadors of Disneyland Resort at the Main Street, U.S.A., train station platform, where they had the honor of helping unveil an updated sign listing the population of Disneyland as 1,000,000,000. Adding to the excitement, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse made a special appearance on the platform.
Following the ceremony, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck joined Andres and family for a special photo opportunity.
The Robles family visit is just one of the many lifelong memories that have been created here at Disneyland Resort. From vacations and reunions to birthdays and more, generations of families and friends have come to Disneyland Resort to have fun together.
Andres and his parents received a VIP tour guide for the day, which includes a tour of Walt Disney’s private apartment, the newly opened Soarin’ Across America attraction and other special experiences that define a memorable Disneyland visit.
