D23 ‘Marceline Magic’ Event Honors Walt Disney’s 125th Birthday
Steeped in rich Disney history, the highly anticipated D23 Marceline Magic event is officially returning on September 18–19, 2026—and it’s bringing brand-new magic and surprises along for the ride! Making the weekend even more unforgettable, Disney Legend Bill Farmer (the legendary voice of Goofy and Pluto) will be joining guests as the special event host for this incredible hometown journey.

D23 is continuing its year-long tribute, Walt Disney: 125 Years of Inspiration, by taking fans right back to where the magic all began—Walt’s boyhood hometown of Marceline, Missouri!
The nostalgic weekend kicks off on Friday, September 18, in Marceline’s sister city, Chillicothe, Missouri (famous as the home of sliced bread!). Guests will enjoy a hosted Sweets & Sips evening welcome reception to mingle and gear up for the adventure ahead.
The next morning, September 19, the group will travel together to Marceline for an unprecedented day of exploration. This year’s event features a record-breaking 25 total stops, each holding a deep, meaningful connection to Walt’s creative inspiration and enduring legacy. Highlights of the tour include the Walt Disney Hometown Museum (which is celebrating its own 25th anniversary!), the Walt Disney Post Office, Walt Disney Elementary School, and the Santa Fe Museum. To make the day even more special, guests will receive a uniquely Marceline commemorative gift representing each of the 25 stops along the way.
The unforgettable weekend wraps up with an evening at the Walt Disney Family Farm, the very land where Walt grew up. Fans will get to experience an exclusive conversation with Disney Legend Bill Farmer, enjoy live entertainment, food, and drinks, and cap off the night with a magical “kiss goodnight” fireworks spectacular over the farm.
