Happy Ice Officially Opens at Downtown Disney Tomorrow!
There is some incredibly exciting news to share for anyone visiting the Disneyland Resort. Happy Ice is officially opening its vibrant new cart at the Downtown Disney District tomorrow, Friday, June 19!
Founded by Lemeir Mitchell, Happy Ice is a Los Angeles-born, Black-owned premium Philadelphia Italian ice brand. Already a massive favorite in Southern California, the brand is widely celebrated for its ultra-vibrant, fruit-forward flavors and premium handcrafted frozen treats.
This grand opening marks a truly historic milestone, as Happy Ice becomes the first permanent Black-owned dessert company to set up shop in the Downtown Disney® District.
Making the moment even more powerful, the cart is opening its windows on Juneteenth. Launching on this historic holiday adds profound meaning to the celebration, perfectly honoring progress, joy, and community—values that sit right at the very heart of the Happy Ice brand.
If you want to help welcome them to the neighborhood, you’ll want to head over early! To celebrate the big debut, Happy Ice is hosting some fantastic opening-day giveaways:
- The first 50 guests in line will receive an exclusive Happy Ice T-shirt.
- The next 50 guests will walk away with a custom Happy Ice tote bag.
Moving forward, you can satisfy your sweet tooth all day long. The cart will be open daily from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
Guests visiting the new Downtown Disney spot are in for a real treat. This location will feature Happy Ice’s first fully all-natural menu, showcasing handcrafted Philadelphia water ice made with real fruit, pure cane sugar, and top-tier premium ingredients.
In addition to their classic refreshing ice, you absolutely cannot miss their new JOY-LATI layered dessert. This signature treat beautifully layers their famous Italian ice with smooth vanilla sweet cream, decadent sauces, and fresh fruit. To top it all off, they’ll be serving up deeply nostalgic, comfort-food flavors like Banana Pudding and Strawberry Shortcake.
