Universal Kids Resort Announces Preview Days Before Grand Opening in Texas
Families eager to experience Universal’s newest theme park won’t have to wait until July. Universal Kids Resort has announced a special preview period from June 24 through June 29, giving guests an early chance to explore the brand-new destination before its official grand opening on July 1, 2026.

Preview tickets are priced at $49.99 plus tax and will allow visitors to step inside the park while team members continue final rehearsals and preparations. Universal notes that some attractions, entertainment offerings, and experiences may not be available during the preview period as finishing touches are completed ahead of opening day. Even so, guests will get a first look at what promises to be one of the most unique additions to the Universal family.
Located in Frisco, Texas, Universal Kids Resort is the company’s first theme park designed specifically for families with young children. The park will feature seven immersive themed lands inspired by beloved franchises including Shrek, Puss in Boots, Minions, Jurassic World, Trolls, and SpongeBob SquarePants, along with the original Isle of Curiosity. The resort will also offer character meet-and-greets, family-friendly entertainment, themed dining, shopping, interactive play areas, splash zones, and sensory-friendly spaces created with younger guests in mind.
