The Electric Mayhem and John Stamos Rock Out for Muppets Coaster Opening at Hollywood Studios
The Electric Mayhem just turned Disney’s Hollywood Studios up to eleven.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is racing toward its official May 26 opening, and Disney kicked things off with a private courtyard concert featuring The Electric Mayhem, Kermit, Scooter, Statler and Waldorf, Rizzo, Pepe, Bean Bunny, Darren Criss, Yvette Nicole Brown, and a bongo-playing John Stamos. Yes, Uncle Jesse joined the jam session, and honestly, that feels exactly chaotic enough for The Muppets.

The event took place outside the newly reimagined coaster, where a temporary stage and DJ setup transformed the courtyard into a full Muppet rock show. Statler and Waldorf naturally appeared to heckle from above, because what is a grand opening without two balcony goblins filing a formal complaint?
The Electric Mayhem performed “Born to Be Wild,” “Song 2,” and “Can You Picture That?” during the celebration, with fireworks, churros, chickens, and a few safety-related interruptions from Joe the Legal Weasel thrown in for good measure. Kermit also appeared to thank Walt Disney Imagineering before the band returned for one final jam.

The revamped attraction sends guests into G-Force Records for a VIP tour with The Electric Mayhem before everyone boards a super-powered L.I.M.O. to help get the band across Hollywood in time for their concert. Disney officially lists the attraction as opening May 26 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The new Muppets version replaces the former Aerosmith theme and brings in fresh queue scenes, celebrity cameos, Muppet-packed details, and a soundtrack built around The Electric Mayhem’s brand of wonderfully unhinged rock and roll. John Stamos, Darren Criss, and Yvette Nicole Brown are also featured in the ride experience.

For Muppet fans, this is looking less like a simple retheme and more like a full backstage pass into controlled chaos. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets officially opens May 26, and Dr. Teeth and the gang are ready to take Hollywood Studios for one very loud, very weird, very wonderful ride.
