Universal Orlando Now Casting for Halloween Horror Nights 35 Scareactors and Performers
If you’ve ever wanted to be the reason someone scream-laughs their way through a haunted house, now might be your moment to step into the fog. Universal Orlando Resort is officially casting performers for Halloween Horror Nights 35, and the hunt for this year’s scream team is officially on.

A new casting call is specifically looking for actors to take on roles during the 2026 event, which runs select nights from August through November. This follows earlier calls for scareactors, stilt walkers, puppeteers, and other specialty performers, but this round zeroes in on those ready to embody characters that will bring the nightmares to life. Translation: this is where the icons, creatures, and story-driven scares really start to take shape.
To audition, candidates must fall within a height range of 4’10” to 6’3” and be comfortable performing in theatrical conditions like low lighting, fog effects, and high-energy crowds. It’s not exactly your typical office environment unless your office includes lurking in shadows and perfecting your jump scare timing. Selected applicants may be invited to callbacks, and availability is required throughout August for rehearsals as well as the full Halloween Horror Nights run.

If you’re ready to trade your day job for a night of frights, you’ll want to move fast. Submissions close at 11:59 p.m. EST on April 22. And if auditioning isn’t your thing, don’t worry. You can still experience the screams from the safer side of the scare zone with tickets already on sale for the event.
