Guest Files Lawsuit Against Universal Orlando After Alleged Slip-and-Fall at Epic Universe
A New Jersey man is suing Universal Orlando following an alleged slip-and-fall accident at Epic Universe that he says left him with serious and ongoing injuries.
According to the lawsuit, Juan Bautista Tenjo was visiting Epic Universe on November 14, 2025, when he allegedly slipped on a significant amount of water while walking through an area being used as both a photo location and an attraction queue. The complaint claims the water had accumulated around stanchion inserts in the area.

Tenjo alleges the fall resulted in bodily injuries, pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, medical expenses, lost earnings, and other continuing damages. Video reportedly provided by his attorneys shows emergency responders removing him from SUPER NINTENDO WORLD on a stretcher. Another video reportedly shows Universal Team Members mopping the area following the incident.
The lawsuit alleges Universal failed to properly inspect, maintain, repair, or warn guests about the water on the ground. Padron & Lopez-Trigo, P.A. filed the complaint against Universal City Development Partners, Ltd. in Orange County Circuit Court on Tenjo’s behalf. The lawsuit seeks damages exceeding $50,000. The allegations remain claims made in the lawsuit and have not been proven in court.
