Permit Filed for New Aloha Isle Sign at Magic Kingdom
Something sweet might be getting a fresh new look in Adventureland. Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a new permit for signage work at Aloha Isle, the iconic snack spot in Magic Kingdom that serves up the legendary DOLE Whip and keeps guests cool under its thatched tropical roof.

The permit, filed as a Notice of Commencement, contracts Kentavo, a company that has been busy across Walt Disney World lately. They are also currently tied to signage work at other locations, including the Little Mermaid theater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and “it’s a small world.” In this case, the permit points specifically to Aloha Isle, which already has existing signage, suggesting this could be a refresh, replacement, or possibly an updated look to match ongoing enhancements around the park.

Aloha Isle has long been a fan-favorite stop in Adventureland, conveniently located next to Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and known for serving up that iconic pineapple soft serve that practically has its own fan club. While the permit does not outline exact details of the changes, any updates here are sure to grab attention given just how popular this location is with guests looking for a midday cooldown.
For now, there is no indication of how construction might impact operations, but if history is any guide, Disney will likely do everything it can to keep those DOLE Whips flowing. Because let’s be honest, a day at Magic Kingdom without one just hits a little differently.
