Toy Story Midway Mania Closing for Refurbishment
One of Pixar Pier’s heaviest hitters is taking a temporary timeout. Toy Story Midway Mania!, the fan-favorite 4D shooting gallery, is officially scheduled to close for refurbishment starting this April. While Disney has not yet confirmed exactly how long the toys will be “in the box,” the closure is expected to be a routine maintenance period to keep those spring-action shooters in tip-top shape.

Based on the latest updates from the Disneyland calendar, Toy Story Midway Mania! is officially scheduled to go offline for refurbishment starting April 6, 2026. Because the calendar only looks a certain number of days into the future, the exact duration of the closure remains a mystery for now.
While it’s possible this maintenance is simply a “tune-up” to prepare for the heavy summer crowds, some fans are speculating that the timing could be linked to the theatrical release of Toy Story 5 this June.

This closure follows a significant update in May 2025, which introduced special “holographic sticker” targets and updated graphics as part of the Disneyland 70th Anniversary festivities. With the platinum celebration set to wrap up on August 9, 2026, it is widely expected that the attraction will eventually revert to its classic version once the party ends.
