If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the habitats or wanted to dive deeper into the secret lives of animals, your chance has arrived. Starting February 14, 2026, the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is officially launching its brand-new Zoo Insider Tours.

This isn’t your average stroll through the park. These guided experiences are designed to bring guests closer to the heart of the Zoo, sharing the stories and “insider scoop” that you won’t find on the typical signage.

What to Expect on a Zoo Insider Tour

The beauty of these tours lies in their spontaneity. Led by expert Zoo staff and passionate volunteers, the tours are unscripted and interactive, meaning no two journeys are ever exactly the same.

Each tour is capped at just 10 guests, ensuring an intimate setting where you can:

• Ask the Experts: Spark conversations about animal care, conservation efforts, and daily Zoo operations.
• Discover Fun Facts: Learn unique details about the Zoo’s residents that only the keepers know.
• Go Deeper: Whether you’re interested in the botanical gardens or the engineering behind the habitats, the guides tailor the experience to the group’s curiosity.

The Zoo Insider Tours are designed for all ages, making them a perfect weekend activity for families, students, or animal enthusiasts looking for a bit more “wild” in their Saturday.

• When: Saturdays and Sundays
• Tour Times: 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
• Duration: Approximately 60 minutes
• Where: Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens (3755 W. Seminole Blvd. Sanford, FL)

Because space is limited to 10 people per slot, advance purchase is highly recommended to secure your spot.

• Zoo Annual Passholders: $12
• Non-Members: $15 (Note: Tour price is in addition to Zoo admission.)
