Spaceship Earth has been closed for refurbishment since late August, but an official reopening date for the iconic attraction has now been set.

The official Walt Disney World website now lists operating hours for Spaceship Earth beginning on October 25, 2025. The attraction has been closed since August 25th for refurbishment, during which time the queue entrance was blocked by rolling planters and exterior painting was completed.

As an opening day attraction at EPCOT, Spaceship Earth is a slow-moving, iconic journey that tracks the history of human communication, from early cave paintings to the digital age. While it has undergone multiple major overhauls throughout its history, a highly publicized update scheduled for 2020 to refresh several ride scenes was ultimately put on hold, and may have been cancelled.
