Disney’s Animal Kingdom Announces Final Day of Operation for DINOSAUR, Restaurantosaurus, and More

Disney has confirmed the permanent closure date for what remains of DinoLand U.S.A. to make way for the upcoming Tropical Americas expansion at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The land’s final day of operation will be February 1, 2026, with a complete closure set for February 2. This will include the popular DINOSAUR attraction, Restaurantosaurus, and The Dino Institute Shop.

The closure will have a wider impact across the park, including the relocation of several character meet and greets and an altered refurbishment schedule for Kali River Rapids. Additionally, a menu update is expected for Harambe Market as part of the operational changes.

DinoLand U.S.A. Including Dinosaur Set to Close Permanently in February 2026

The Boneyard play area was the first to permanently close on September 1, 2025. As of September 2, construction walls are already in place, creating a long, winding walkway for guests heading to the DINOSAUR attraction in its final months of operation.
