Kennedy’s tenure at Lucasfilm began in 2012 when she joined as co-chair alongside George Lucas. Following The Walt Disney Company’s acquisition of Lucasfilm, Lucas retired, and Kennedy assumed the presidency.

During her time as president, Kennedy oversaw the development and production of a significant portion of the Star Wars franchise, including the sequel trilogy, standalone films like “Rogue One” and “Solo,” and various Disney+ series such as “The Mandalorian” and “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” Her influence also extended to the Indiana Jones franchise, with Kennedy serving as a producer on the latest installment, “Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny.”
Kennedy’s departure marks the end of an era for Lucasfilm, leaving questions about the future direction of the company and its iconic franchises.
