King Triton Removed from Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom

The King Triton statue in Fantasyland has been removed! Ariel’s father is usually found across from Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid, next to the Disney Vacation Club station. We noticed recently that King Triton was missing completely.

Prior to being removed, we noticed the King Triton statue was in need of a refurbishment. The paint was cracking and peeling in places. Now that the statue is gone, it left behind faded pavement and holes in the ground where King Triton used to be.

We are hoping the absence means King Triton is getting some much needed cleaning and updating. Will you miss King Triton while he’s gone?
