South Dakota Man Arrested for Slapping Female Disney Security Officer on the Butt. Here we go again, another person who consumed too much alcohol and while inebriated, did something no person should have to contend with while working.
You can read the whole complaint against the individual below, but let us give you the highlights. The drunk man decided he could go around slapping a security guard’s rear end and get away with it. The security guard was not going to press charges, but eventually decided to go ahead and press charges. The drunk man was trespassed from Coronado Springs Resort and Walt Disney World but showed back up to the room he was sharing with his wife and was arrested.
The defendant intentionally touched the victim against her will. The victim was a uniformed Disney security guard, and the defendant knew the victim was a uniformed Disney security officer. The victim was engaged in the lawful performance of her duties when the battery was committed.
The defendant, without being authorized, licensed, or invited, willfully entered and remained on the property after receiving notice against entering or remaining. On March 3rd, 2023, at approximately 2238 hours, I responded to the Coronado Resort at 1000 W Buena Vista Drive, in reference to a drunk person at the Three Bridges Bar and Grill.
My investigation revealed the following: When I arrived, I spoke with the defendant, Andrew Ticknor. Ticknor was intoxicated and stumbling around near the entrance of the restaurant. Disney security Manager, John, said Ticknor was in room #5524, and he would like to have the defendant trespassed.
I responded to Ticknor’s room and advised his wife of the impending trespass. While on the scene, I was also advised of a possible battery of a Disney security officer. I spoke
with the victim, who said Ticknor’s open hand slapped her left buttock at one point However, she did not want to prosecute. said she was satisfied with Ticknor being trespassed from the property.
Shortly after speaking with her manager, decided she did want to prosecute. was uninjured and refused Reedy Creek. At the time of the incident, was wearing a Disney security uniform with security patches on both shoulders and a large security badge on the left front side of her shirt. Photos were taken and entered into DataWorks.
There was no video of the incident provided a written statement Marsys Law was explained to the Security Guard. She requested her information be kept confidential. A victim’s remedies pamphlet was given to Ticknor was trespassed and left the property in an Uber with his father. The battery was initially going to be sent to the State Attorney for prosecution.
However, Ticknor later returned to the Coronado. The Resort manager, (Witness One) Redacted, contacted OCSO, and provided a written statement. Contact was made with Ticknor in room #5254. He was subsequently arrested for trespass after warning and battery on a uniformed security officer. He was also issued a second trespass under 23-013986 and transported to BRC without incident A copy of the Trespass Warning was submitted with this report as evidence.
