We are saddened to report that beloved actress Betty White has passed away at the age of 99, just weeks before she was set to celebrate her 100th birthday. The news comes from People.com who spoke with her agent and dear friend Jeff Witjas. Witjas confirmed the news of her passing by sharing with People, “Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever. I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again.”
Betty has been an iconic Hollywood actress in film and television for decades with notable performances in The Golden Girls, The Betty White Show, Hollywood on Television, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Hot in Cleveland, and more. Before her passing, White earned a whopping 121 credited roles throughout her career and dozens of cameo appearances in various projects. White was inducted as a Disney Legend for her incredible work in television back in 2009.
Deadpool Star Ryan Reynolds even shared this touching tweet on the passing of Betty White:
Our deepest condolences go out to the family, friends, and fans of Betty White ?
