Disney’s ‘Encanto’ Remains #1 at the Box Office. Moviegoers have been eager to return to theaters as more big-name titles are finally being exclusively released in theaters once again and despite other big films such as House of Gucci and Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Disney’s Encanto secured the 1st place spot at the box office in week 2, earning $12.7 million.

So far Encanto has brought in $58+ million for Disney and will likely remain number 1 going into Week 3. On Christmas Eve (December 24th) Disney+ subscribers will be able to stream ‘Encanto‘ exclusively on Disney+. The hit animated musical film is currently playing in theaters and features The Madrigal Family, who are an extraordinary family who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a charmed place called the Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift — every child except Mirabel. However, she soon may be the Madrigal’s last hope when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is now in danger.
