Job Description
The Walt Disney World Resort invites you to be our Guest and explore Custodial/Food & Beverage Quick Service Restaurant opportunities at our upcoming Job Fair on Monday, September 20, 2021. Come meet our Recruitment Team to learn more about our dynamic teams that provide unparalleled resort stay experiences!
This event is open to the public and will focus on finding talent for our Custodial/Food & Beverage Quick Service Restaurant roles. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to apply and interview on site. Some candidates may even be hired on-the-spot!
Roles may include:
- Custodial Utility 3rd Shift – Full Time- Part Time – Starting pay rate of $14.40/hour and may vary depending on the role offered as well as an additional premium of $1.00/hour.
New hires will be eligible for our new starting rate of $15.40/hour effective 10/03/2021
- Custodial 3rd Shift – Part Time– Part Time – Starting pay rate of $14.00/hour.
New hires will be eligible for our new starting rate of $15.00/hour effective 10/03/2021
- Custodial – Part Time – Starting pay rate of $14.00/hour.

- Food & Beverage Quick Service Restaurant – Part Time – Starting pay rate of $14.00/hour.

Responsibilities:
Custodial Utility 3rd Shift
- Clean bathrooms by scrubbing basins, bathtubs, shower walls and doors, toilets, and tile floors with proper chemicals when applicable
- Work in outdoor settings during various weather conditions
- Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
- Cast Members will be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Complete tasks with proper use of equipment, tools or systems related to performance of assigned responsibilities
- Working at a different height ranges to clean buildings walls and windows
- Pressure wash concrete and other surfaces
- Remove debris from waterways and flumes and clean basins and decorative fountains
- Clean and extract carpets with portable trailer mounts
- Operate heavy duty vehicles such as forklifts, pallet jacks, sweeper trucks, scissor lifts, utility trailers, and aerial lifts, among others
- Clean hazardous spills with personal protective equipment
Custodial 3rd Shift
- Operate different types of equipment including:
- Vacuums
- Floor machines
- Scrubber Equipment
- Carpet extractors
- Work at different heights to clean building walls and windows, using ladders of various lengths
- Remove debris from waterway, flumes, clean basins and decorative fountains
- Deep clean restrooms, walkways and attractions
- Understand chemical labels
- Use corrosive chemicals
- Operate company vehicles/pargos with limited visibility
- Perform normal operating hours Custodial functions
- Operate a SmartPhone device to access assignments and submit work orders
- Communicate using a radio
- Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, googles, refillable hand sanitizers, safety harnesses, hard hats, safety vests etc.) may be required
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Comfortable working with water with frequent exposure to wet or slippery surfaces
Custodial
- Proactively engage with Guest by answering questions, giving directions and other information about the theme park or surrounding areas
- Cast Members will handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas and Guest corridors
- Work in outdoor settings during various weather conditions
- Operate a Smart Phone device to access assignments and submit work orders
- Take ownership during emergencies situations
- Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
- Prolong standing to perform and maintain crowd control during peak operational hours in outdoor settings during different weather conditions
Food & Beverage Quick Service Restaurant
Food & Beverage Quick Service Restaurant Cast Members are responsible for working in a fast-paced environment at either indoor counter service or at outdoor vending location taking orders, cash handling, food preparation, stocking condiments, and keeping the work location clean.
- Work as part of a fast-paced team to meet target goals during your shift
- Process Guest orders accurately through a point-of-sale system (POS register), count money, make change, and process credit card transactions
- Food preparation & assembly of food products including but not limited to beef, pork, poultry, fish, shellfish, gluten, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, egg, and dairy products
- Maintain food safety standards
- Understand and communicate with Guests and Cast Members, providing Guest Service
- Understand and explain menu offerings to Guest and answer questions about the food products
- Provide Guest Service when problems arise and assist in finding solutions
- Work in outdoor settings during various weather conditions
- Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required.
- Cast Members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies Basic English language skills
- Written and verbal communications skills.
- Physical role, pushing, pulling, bending twisting, and kneeling
- Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills
Basic Qualifications:

- This role is Full-time and requires full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- 3rd shift positions begin working at 10:00 pm or later and must be available until 9:30 am
Custodial (3rd Shift)
- Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Physical role requiring heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending twisting, and kneeling
- Part-Time requires 3 full days of availability for any shift, including nights and holidays
- 3rd Shift will require over nights starting as early as 8PM and ending as late as 930AM
- Good communication skills
Custodial
- Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Willing to work at various heights
- Physical role requiring heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending twisting, and kneeling

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
