Directors Announced for ‘The Book of Boba Fett‘ Stars Wars Series Coming to Disney+. Series star Temuera Morrison has shared several directors who will be featured in the first season of The Book of Boba Fett (TBOBF). The series will feature the titular bounty hunter Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison), along with his newfound ally Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen), and follow the timeline of The Mandalorian series.

Morrison shared several familiar directors will be joining the new Star Wars series during a recent interview, stating: “We’ve got some great directors onboard – Robert Rodriguez, [Jon] Favreau, Bryce [Dallas Howard], Dave Filoni. It’s just a new world! It’s a new world. They like to keep the Star Wars stuff under [lock and] key.”
Though there will likely be additional directors added to the list as post-production moves forward, Rodriguez (TBOBF Executive Producer), Favreau, Howard, and Filoni were all active on the set of The Mandalorian, and their involvement as directors for the first spin-off series makes total sense. There is also room for new directors to join the production team giving the series a chance to make its own mark on the Star Wars Universe. A release date for the series has yet to be shared, but the series is expected to premiere before the end of 2021.
