Everyone is excited to see Disney’s Blizzard Beach reopening on March 7th, just a day away. But no one is more excited than Walt Disney World Resort President Jeff Vahle. He is enthusiastically welcoming back Cast Members at one of Disney World’s Water Parks this week. This Instagram post shows the 30-year Disney Parks veteran interacting with returning employees.

His caption reads: “We’ll need a new sign that says “Happily Open!” Welcome back Blizzard Beach Cast Members; wonderful to see the team getting prepared to reopen the gates of this iconic water park to our Guests this Sunday!”

Jeff Vahle means what he says when he expresses joy at seeing Cast Members return. Aside from being a loyal Disney team member since 1990, he is in charge of overseeing a workforce of more than 77,000 Cast Members at four theme parks and 30 resort hotels. He came into his current role in 2020, a challenging time with new difficulties to overcome.

Thankfully, Walt Disney World has been slowly and safely reopening its experiences to guests. On Sunday, March 7th, Blizzard Beach will be the newest park to return.
