Luke Evans Cast in Disney’s Live-Action ‘Pinocchio‘ Remake Starring Tom Hanks. This week actor Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast, The Hobbit) shared that he has joined the cast of Disney+ Original Movie, Pinocchio. Evans posted the news via twitter along with the caption: “I cannot wait to start!!!!” Luke Evans has been cast in the role of the classic villain ‘The Coachman’.

Currently, Robert Zemeckis is set to direct to film, with reports from Disney that Tom Hanks is currently set to play Gepetto in the film. Disney has yet to share how they plan on bringing the adventurous puppet to life on the big screen, but continues to move forward with the project despite major set backs in production. It is also currently unknown if the “live-action” Pinocchio will premiere in theaters on on Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+.
