We recently reported that Disneyland is being used as a COVID-19 vaccination distribution site. Now Disney World might be used in a similar way.

Disney World has refrigeration and technology for storing vaccines and is perfectly located for distribution to multiple counties.
“It seems like Walt Disney World has the technology to store vaccines and that is a really important dynamic, but also geographically Orange County sits between Polk and Osceola Counties and these are all counties of great need,” said Rep. Anna Eskamani.
Disney confirmed that it has been in talks with state officials. The company didn’t say whether it would be a vaccination site but said they are prepared to support vaccination efforts. It could be more difficult for Disney World to become a vaccination site than Disneyland since Disney World is currently open to guests while Disneyland remains closed.
“There are 4.3 million people over the age of 65 in Florida. We need all hands on deck if we are going to get these seniors populated and move on to the next population,” Eskamani said.
We will update if Disney World does become a vaccination site.
