Give Kids The World is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fulfilling the wishes of children with critical illnesses. They have been closed since March due to COVID-19. But GKTW recently announced that they will soon reopen the resort to families again! Bringing joy to kids is the reason the GKTW Foundation exists. Since 1986, more than 176,000 families from all 50 states and 75 countries have been able to vacation there. They offer a way for kids to find happiness far from hospitals and treatments.
We are beyond excited to announce that we will be getting back to our mission of creating the happiness that inspires hope for critically ill children and their families by reopening Give Kids The World Village beginning on January 17, 2021!
With safety as our number one priority, we will be opening very slowly – beginning with a limited number of families, seasonal staff and volunteers, and gradually growing our numbers over time.
So far, Give Kids The World Village only partially opened for having Christmas lights this season. The millions of Christmas lights put on display allowed them to sell tickets to help raise funds for future kids visiting.
It’s great to hear that the resort village will soon be welcoming kids again on January 17th!
