The Walt Disney Company released its Q4 earnings report for 2020. The company made several statements highlighting updates on both their theme parks and entertainment subdivisions. For instance, their Disney+ streaming service now has more than 73 million paid subscribers as of the end of the fourth quarter.
It’s amazing the streaming service grew so much in its first year! Disney+ is the dedicated streaming home for movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more. As part of Disney’s Direct-to-Consumer and International (DTCI) segment, Disney+ is available on most internet-connected devices and offers commercial-free programming with a variety of original feature-length films, documentaries, live-action and animated series and short-form content.
A big part of what makes Disney+ so successful to audiences is its exclusive content. Many Star Wars and adventure fans have been eager to keep up on watching the popular Mandalorian series. Even exclusive Disney+ movies and upcoming Marvel series have Disney fans eager for future content.
The streaming service is a huge hit with consumers since the Disney brand offers phenomenal movies and TV shows. There’s also a lot of great holiday shows available to watch for the Christmas season!
