Many are asking about Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, and SeaWorld Orlando since they reopened during the pandemic. Officials are monitoring the situation at Florida theme parks, but so far it’s been looking good. As of today, Orange County health officials are reassuring the public on how there’s no coronavirus outbreaks linked to the Florida theme parks.
Orange County Health Officer Dr. Raul Pino states that they haven’t seen any large amount of positive cases coming from any of the Orlando theme parks at this time.
Disney declined to say how many Disney World employees had tested positive for the coronavirus since the resort reopened. In phone interviews, union leaders said cases had been minimal.

Pino said Monday that health department teams recently visited SeaWorld and were impressed with the compliance there. He also praised Disney World and Universal for how they have handled the reopening of their parks. So far, they haven’t identified any transmission at the theme parks.
“Disney has done a wonderful job, Universal, too,” Pino said.
Disney World implements health and safety measures across its property, which is helping the safety of guests. The new protocols include mandatory face masks, temperature checks, social distancing policies, and increased sanitization procedures. Disney’s parks are also operating with reduced capacity.
