Is work continuing on Reflections Lakeside Lodge at Disney World?

Rumors have been going around that Disney World is canceling its newest DVC resort, Reflections-A Disney Lakeside Lodge.

This new DVC resort was originally announced at D23 in 2019. The Disney Parks Blog post outlining all of the D23 announcements has been changed and the information about Reflections was removed. Disney is known for quietly changing announcements in cases of canceled, delayed, or altered projects.

Reflections-A Disney Lakeside Lodge was going to be built between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground and was set to open in 2022.

Disney has not made any official announcement regarding this DVC project, however, a new permit was filed this morning. The permit lists the location of the construction site as 4500 Big Pine Road.

You can see on the map above that the location listed on the permit is in the area of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. Could this permit be related to work on Reflections-A Disney Lakeside Lodge?
