Chadwick Boseman Laid to Rest Near Hometown in South Carolina. Actor Chadwick Boseman who stared in Marvel’s Black Panther, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War & Avengers: Endgame movies passed away from multiple organ failure due to colon cancer on Friday August 28, 2020. He was only 43 years old. Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side, publicist Nicki Fioravante told The Associated Press.
Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. Boseman had not shared his diagnosis publicly, leaving many fans completely shocked by his apparent sudden death. Recently, the 42 and Get On Up star was laid to rest near his hometown of Anderson, South Carolina.
AP News shared, “The Black Panther star was laid to rest Sept. 3 at Welfare Baptist Church Cemetery in Belton, South Carolina, about 11 miles from Boseman’s hometown of Anderson, the Los Angeles County Certificate showed. Anderson held a public memorial for Boseman a day later.”
