Disney is celebrating Earth Day all week long! While the Disney Parks may be closed, that is not stopping the Walt Disney Company from showing support for the 50th anniversary of Earth Day on Wednesday, April 22.
This year will also mark the 25th anniversary for the Disney Conservation Fund! To celebrate, Disney experts will be telling all about their own love of nature and even about some of the “newest additions to the family” at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom. (Disney Parks Blog)
To keep the #DisneyMagicofNature going, Wilderness Explorers will be able to find adventure at home with a new short-form video series with lots of backyard fun starting on Tuesday, April 21. You can find all of the updates on the MyDisneyExperience mobile app so make sure that your notifications are turned on!
Finally, National Geographic will be offering many Earth Day treats as well! One of them is a Safari Activity – something that’s good for the whole family, while six feet apart, of course… You can join the fun here!
Nat Geo will also be debuting a variety of Earth Day television specials, including “Jane Goodall: The Hope,” “Born Wild: The Next Generation,” and even short programs on the Disney Channel.
As you can see, Earth Day is a big deal for the Walt Disney Company, so we hope you enjoy celebrating all week as well!
