Local Orlando news stations have been sharing the news of a devastating car crash that occurred just outside of Walt Disney World earlier this week.
The crash took place around 5:30 p.m Tuesday on Route 429 in Kissimmee.

Five-year-old Scarlett Smith and her mother, 41-year-old Julie Smith of Whitman, and Julie’s mother, 76-year-old Josephine Fay of Weymouth were all killed instantly according to officials. All three were sitting in the rear bench seat of the minivan at the time of the crash and were pronounced dead at the scene, said Lieutenant Kim Montes, a Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman.
Eleven-year-old Jaxon Smith passed away due to his injuries at Arnold Palmer Hospital on Wednesday according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The 5-year-old’s twin sister, Skylar, 10-year-old sister Shalie, their dad, Shane, 43, and their grandfather William Fay, 76, all suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
“We believe everybody was belted, but the father who was driving,” Lt. Montes said.
Lucas Dos Reis Laurindo, 26, of Kissimmee, rear-ended the Toyota van, which had slowed for traffic, causing it to roll over.
Charges against Lucas are pending.
