With over 14 acres there are many must-do Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge experiences located throughout the new land at Disneyland Park. The new land, which opened May 31, 2019, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is packed with immersive storytelling and these 10 must-do Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Experiences at Disneyland Park.
The number one must-do on everyone’s list is to fly the “Fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy” on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers run. Guests can strap into the Falcon cockpit to take control while on a mission to help Hondo smuggle goods. Pro-tip: Save this for the last thing on your list since they won’t kick you out of line.
The next must-do Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge experiences at Disneyland Park is to visit the Black Spire Outpost Marketplace. The bustling marketplace is full of vendors showcasing wares from across the galaxy. While visiting, guests can pick up authentic Batuuan attire, start a collection of rare artifacts at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, or peek into the cages in the creature stall.
Ever wonder what the blue milk tastes like that Luke Skywalker experienced in “Star Wars: A New Hope”? Guests visiting the Black Spire Outpost can stop by the Milk Stand to pick up the delicious frozen blends of both blue and green milk with dashes of fruity accents.
Don’t have time to sit down to eat? Grab a bite to go at Ronto Roasters! The marketplace stall offers mouth-watering Ronto wraps, sweet-or-spicy Nuna Turkey Jerky, and a selection of specialty beverages. While you wait, be sure to check out the large podracing engine hanging overhead and the former smelter droid turning a spit of meats.
Next on the list of must-do Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Experiences at Disneyland Park is, of course, to craft together a Lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop or build a Droid inside the Droid Depot. Guests can construct a Lightsaber, which is a rite of passage in the life of a Jedi, at Savi’s Workshop- Handbuilt Lightsabers. Feel the force as you craft your own Lightsaber with customizations of various hilts, décor and the all-important kyber crystals. Pro-tip: Build your own Lightsaber is by reservation only. Guests must make their reservation, pay for their Lightsaber and then wait for your build time. The experience takes about One hour to complete.
Guests can build some of the most loyal companions in the Star Wars galaxy at the Droid Depot. Guests can build and customize their own astromech friends by picking their own pieces and parts from a conveyor belt to construct one of the two core models (R-series or BB-series).
Once you have completed your Lightsaber and/or Droid, the next stop on the must-do list is to drop by for a drink at Oga’s Cantina. Guests can gather in the heartbeat of Black Spire Outpost to share their tales from around the galaxy as they enjoy exotic beverages served in unique vessels with a coaster. Pro-tip: This line is very long and you should head here first if you are after one of these amazing Tiki Mugs!
While you are exploring the new land be sure to download the Play Disney Parks Mobile App to gain access inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on your very own datapad. Use your datapad throughout the land to scan the contents hidden inside containers, translate languages and tune into communications.
While using the Play Disney Parks Mobile app throughout the land, guests can also play the game “Outpost Control” where you can choose to support the Resistance or the First Order. The faction that controls the majority of the blinking light panels next to doorways throughout Black Spire Outpost first wins the game and demonstrates their allegiance to their side’s cause. The conflict plays out multiple times a day.
Finally, the last must-do Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Experience is to keep your eyes open for Kylo Ren, Rey, and other Star Wars characters. Guests may encounter the supreme leader Kylo Ren as he lands at Black Spire Outpost to gather Stormtroopers to help him hunt for Resistance fighter Rey, the Millennium Falcon co-pilot Chewbacca, or Resistance spy Vi Moradi.
Guests can enjoy these must-do Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge experiences at the Disneyland Park starting May 31, 2019. May the force be with you!
