Halloween Decorations Arrive at Magic Kingdom Ahead of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Kickoff

Autumn has officially arrived at Walt Disney World. Overnight, crews transformed Main Street, U.S.A., decking out Magic Kingdom with seasonal decor just days ahead of the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the 2026 season on Friday, August 7.

Main Street USA Transforms for Autumn

Guests entering Magic Kingdom were greeted by classic pumpkin wreaths, vibrant fall foliage, and festive orange bunting along the train station and storefronts:

• Pumpkin Wreaths and Garlands: Wreaths adorned with jack-o’-lanterns and autumn leaves hang along the light posts lining Main Street, U.S.A., leading toward Cinderella Castle.
• Storefront Bunting: Swags of orange and yellow fabric now cover the balconies and upper levels of Town Hall, the Main Street Confectionery, and the Emporium.
• Scarecrow Installations: The iconic pumpkin-headed scarecrow figures representing various Main Street professions—including the baker, mayor, and bandleader—have returned to Town Square.

Final Preparations for Opening Night

The overnight transformation marks the final stage of preparation for the after-hours event. While daytime park guests can enjoy the fall decorations through October 31, the special entertainment, character meet-and-greets, and trick-or-treat stations will officially debut this Friday evening for ticket holders.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party runs on select nights through November 1, featuring returning favorites including Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spellsacular.
