Throughout the month of March, the WonderGround Gallery will be featuring seven artists in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort. What a fantastic way to showcase the amazing talents of these amazing artists.
Kicking off the month of March, WonderGround Gallery will be showcasing Jerrod Maruyama from March 2-3, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Maruyama is an illustrator who specializes in character design after studying at San Jose State University.
On March 8-9, 2019, WonderGround Gallery will be showecasing Jasmine Becket-Griffith from Celebration, Florida! Becket-Griffith is an acrylic painter who intertwines fairies, fantasy and the beauty of nature. Many fans will recognize her work as it appears in many books, magazines and merchandise lines. You can find this artists March 8, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and March 9, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Next up to the WonderGround Gallery Showcase is the graphic designer Jason Rattner. Rattner is originally from New York but is now a resident of Florida who is following his dream of being a Disney artist and is “loving every minute of it.” You can find Rattner March 16-17 and March 23-24, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Also visiting March 16-17, 2019 is artist Mcbiff, a.k.a David McNeley. Mcbiff is a self-taught artist from Huntington Beach who specializes in acrylic paint. Mcbiff is best known for his clean simplicity and hidden surprises in his paintings with American mid-century modern styles.
Rounding out the month for WonderGround Gallery is artist Ashley Taylor. Taylor is a local designer and illustrator who is best known for her Disney Doodles for the Disney parks Blog. Taylor has been inspired by legendary artists Mary Blair and Eyvind Earle. You can find this artist March 30-31, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In addition, the gallery will also be showcasing the Featured Artisan of the Month, Brittney Lee March 2-3, 2019 and March 23-24, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. Lee creates charming and effervescent characters that can leap into life. As a visual development artist, Lee is well-known for her work on “Frozen” and “Zootopia.”
From March 9-10, 16-17, 23-24, and 30-31 guests can also meet Artist in Residence, Aggie Cheung. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Cheung specializes in conceptual games and children’s book illustrations after earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in animation and illustration from San Jose State University. Guests can meet this artist at WonderGround Gallery from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
