Celebrate Mardi Gras and Carnevale at Disney Springs

With February coming to an end, and March knocking on the doorstep, that can only mean it’s almost time to party. Not only does it mean Spring is on the way, hopefully, but Mardi Gras is just around the corner. This year celebrate Mardi Gras and Carnevale at Disney Springs.

Carnevale is back this year at Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante. What’s Carnevale? It’s an annual festival which began in Venice, Italy and celebrates the gathering of family and friends, with eating, drinking, and dancing. It’s meant to celebrate life together. This year make your reservation by March 5th and indulge in the prix fixe “Feast of Carnavale” or order an a la carte entre from the main menu. Guests with reservations made by March 5th will get a front row seat to live entertainment, mimes, face painters, and folk dancers. Singers and stilt walkers are part of the entertainment too. Reservations are recommended and can be made online, or by calling.

For the foodies looking to celebrate Mardi Gras, check out House of Blues Restaurant & Bar for traditional New Orleans cuisines. Some classics to try are Steak Po’Boy, which is a special item for the event. Also, try the Jambalaya, Gumbo and Bourbon Bread Pudding. If you can’t choose, the Bourbon Bread Pudding comes highly recommended. Perhaps you don’t want to take the time to sit down and enjoy the limited time specials, no problem. They are all available at the pick-up window at the Smokehouse through March 5th. If you’re planning on eating in at the House of Blues, don’t miss the drink specials and prizes from March 1st-5th in the House of Blues Courtyard. No reservations are required, and no cover charge either, just a come and party.

Lastly, no party is complete without the right ensemble. Feast your eyes on these Mardi Gras inspired Minnie ears? I absolutely love the color combinations and patterns. Tiana would be proud of these ears. Stop into World of Disney at Disney Springs Marketplace to pick up a pair is these ears before you go celebrate Madi Gras.

Do you typically celebrate Mardi Gras, or would you make a special trip to celebrate Mardi Gras and Carnevale at Disney Springs? Being from way up North (MN), I wouldn’t say that we go out of the way to celebrate. If I was in the Orlando area, I would totally consider joining in on the fun.
