SeaWorld Has Announced Kayla, a 30-year-old Female Orca, Has Died.

Sad news coming from SeaWorld today as they announced that Kayla, a 30-year-old female orca, has died. SeaWorld has not released the cause of death at this time. There will be additional testing done post-mortem and those results may take several weeks to be released SeaWorld has said.

Kayla began showing signs of distress on Saturday and SeaWorld veterinarian immediately started treatment.  SeaWorld stopped their Orca Breeding program back in 2016 and has focused on conservation and treatment since. We will bring you additional updates as we receive them.
