Yvette Nicole Brown joins Lady and the Tramp cast! The cast of this live-action film for Disney’s new streaming service is shaping up quite nicely, isn’t it?!
The Community alum is set to play the role of Aunt Sarah in this upcoming remake of the Disney animated classic. She will be joining Tessa Thompson as Lady and Justin Theroux voicing the Tramp. Jim Dear, Lady’s owner will be played by Thomas Mann and the role of his wife, Darling Dear has gone to Kiersey Clemons.
Charlie Bean is directing the remake which was written by Andrew Bujalski. Look for this film to premiere on Disney’s yet to be named digital streaming service next year.
In the animated film it is Aunt Sarah who takes American Cocker Spaniel, Lady, to the pet store to get a muzzle. Lady flees and that’s how she meets a mongrel named Tramp. And the rest is spaghetti and meatballs history!
You can currently catch Yvette Nicole Brown in her recurring role in the series “Mom.” She also just did work on the independent film “Love & Oatmeal.”
The more casting news that comes out about this new film, the more the anticipation builds. Lady and the Tramp is certainly a Disney classic. It will interesting to see how it comes across as a live-action film! One thing is for sure, we are certainly loving the casting choices being made for this new film!
Do you plan on checking it out when it premieres on Disney’s new streaming service sometime next year?
