Harry Potter fans have you ever wanted to do the magic you read about and saw in the films? Now you can, if you own a Google Home or Google Home mini. Google actually has a very popular spell programmed into it’s database.
Cast Harry Potter Spells With Your Google Home
For this spell, you’ll need to have your Google assistant device paired with a light source through a smart plug. Then say, “Hey Google, Lumos!” You’re lights will then turn on making Professor Flitwick proud! (He’s the charms professor for any muggles that may be reading.) Then when you’re ready to turn the light off there’s a spell for that, “Hey Google, Nox.” You don’t even need your wand! Though you could totally impress and use it. I won’t even judge if this has you running around your house in full Hogwarts house robes and uniforms. Maybe a Butterbeer in hand.
These two spells are already set to go but you can use your creative side and manually program some more if you’re feeling extra magical. You’ll just have to rename some commands within the app. Maybe a “stupefy” to pause music or “Accio music” to bring your playlist up. It will definitely have you feeling like Hogwarts Alumni.
