Yacht & Beach Club FriendShip Boat Service Temporarily Closing

If you have a mid-August trip planned to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort or Disney’s Beach Club Resort, you’ll want to adjust your park transportation plans! The shared FriendShip boat dock serving both sister resorts is scheduled to temporarily close for maintenance from August 17 through August 21.

While water transportation will be temporarily unavailable at this location for five days, Disney has alternative options ready so you can still easily reach EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

During the dock maintenance window, here is how you can navigate around Crescent Lake:

• Heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Disney will provide direct bus service between Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts and Hollywood Studios. Buses will pick up and drop off right outside the main resort entrances.
• Heading to EPCOT: Guests will simply use the scenic walking path to EPCOT’s International Gateway entrance. Depending on your room location, this walk takes under 10 minutes and drops you right into World Showcase!

Pro-Tip for Park Hopping: If you’re planning to rope-drop Hollywood Studios or hit an early Lightning Lane window between August 17 and August 21, build in a few extra minutes for bus loading times!

This brief, five-day maintenance window is specifically isolated to the Yacht and Beach Club dock facility. Popular dining spots like Yachtsman Steakhouse, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, and the iconic Stormalong Bay pool complex will remain fully operational.

Normal FriendShip boat service is expected to resume full operations for Yacht and Beach Club guests starting August 22.
