The titles of upcoming X-Men and Blade movies may have been leaked prior to their official announcement at San Diego Comic Con.
The response arrives in the wake of a Deadline article about what to expect from film studios and television networks at this weekend’s convention. To put it bluntly, it seems to be that Marvels’ Blade will be titled The Blade, while the MCU’s take on the X-Men will go by The Mutants. It might sound strange at first, but using new film titles will help differentiate from the previous franchise films.

Marvel Studios president and CCO Kevin Feige has shared that there have been drawn out conversations on how the X-Men will be introduced in the MCU now that Disney has fully acquired Fox and the rights to the various Marvel Characters they previously owned. Feige shared with ScreenRant:
“You know how much I love the X-Men. I already said that’s where I started,” he continued, “I can’t tell you anything before we actually announced it, but rest assured, the discussions have been long and ongoing internally.”
Whatever their respective titles turn out to be, we are eager to hear all of the Marvel Studios announcements at San Diego Comic Con!
